The Curse of Oak Island documents brothers Rick and Marty Lagina as they pursue their lifelong dream of solving more than a 220-year old Oak Island mystery. For over two centuries, teams of searchers, including Franklin D. Roosevelt, have attempted to crack the code that will unearth the treasure believed to be buried on the small island off the coast of Nova Scotia. Armed with the knowledge of those that came before them, the muscle of heavy machinery and decades of engineering know-how, the Lagina’s and their partners may be closer than anyone in history to finding the treasure that has so far claimed the lives of six men.
5 Stars. Can’t miss TV. My Mother Barbara Buckingham now deceased owned stock in readers digest as well as subscribing to it. I also read the story of the Curse of Oak Island along with many other stories and all of the Hardy Boy’s Mystery Novels when I was a Kid on rainy days while eating cheese curd and home made lemonade in my bedroom on Pleasant Lake New York which is right by Brantingham Lake New York. I think the Story in Reader’s Digest was only about 5 pages long but it left a lasting impression on Me. I have always wondered if the Mystery has been solved and was delighted when I learned that the Laguna brothers had bought the island and we’re actively trying to solve this 200+ year Mystery and making a TV program about their search. Please don’t quit until you and your team gets to the bottom of the pot. The real treasure to Me is to accurately understanding what happened on Oak Island. By whom, what, when and where.
